Energize and Heal Your Life Force With Pranic Healing

Energize and Heal Your Life Force With Pranic Healing

Developed by Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, Pranic Healing is based on the concept of Prana, or life force. In Chinese medicine it is referred to as Chi or Ki.

At a very young age, Grand Master Choa Kok Sui became interested in yoga, psychic phenomena, mysticism, Chinese Ki Kung and other esoteric sciences. His studies led him to research and develop the Pranic Healing System teachings. In the Pranic Healing techniques, he has given us a step by step method by which we can learn how to heal ourselves and others.

Ancient esoteric practices have long recognized that we have a physical body and an invisible body; the latter is made out of bioplasmic energy. This bioplasmic energy is ionized gas which has positively and negatively charged particles. It is a living energy that is invisible to most of us, and is often referred to as an aura. Science has shown the existence of the aura with the use of Kirlian photography. Just as the visible body has blood vessels through which blood flows, the invisible body has channels or meridians through which our Prana flows. There are several major channels and thousands of minor channels.

Basic Laws of Pranic Healing

There are two basic laws of Pranic Healing: the Law of Self Recovery and the Law of Prana or Life Recovery. The Law of Self Recovery is rooted in the belief that the body is capable of healing itself. Life (or Prana) Recovery means that for life to exist, the body must have Prana.

The healing process occurs by increasing energy flow to the affected part as well as to the entire body. In chemistry, electrical energy is sometimes used to increase the rate of chemical reaction. Light can also create a chemical reaction. In Pranic Healing, life energy serves as the catalyst to accelerate the rate of biochemical reaction involved in the natural healing process of the body, and the rate of recovery or healing increases tremendously. Simply applying these natural laws catalyzes self-recovery.

Major Sources of Prana

There are three major sources of Prana: Solar Prana, Air Prana, and Earth Prana. Solar Prana is available from sunlight. It invigorates the whole body and promotes good health. Sunbathing in the morning sun or evening sun for only 5 to 10 minutes is very beneficial. Sunlight-infused drinking water also has health benefits. This is accomplished by placing the water in green glass bottles and leaving them outside in the sunshine for a day before consuming.

Air Prana is absorbed by the lungs through breathing. Since most of our life energy comes from the air that we breathe, a session of breathing is a session of life itself, from our very first cry as an infant to our last breath of life at death. We are constantly draining our life energy by our every thought and act; this energy can be replaced through breathing. You can increase the absorption of Air Prana by engaging regularly in deep, slow, rhythmic breathing.

Earth Prana is automatically and unconsciously absorbed through the soles of the feet. Walking barefoot will naturally increase the amount of Earth Prana in your body.

Chakras or Energy Centers

Prana is also absorbed by the bioplasmic body through the energy centers or chakras. Just as the physical body has vital and minor organs, the energy body also has major and minor chakras. Major chakras are 3 to 4 inches in diameter. They control and energize major organs of the visible and physical body. Major chakras are just like power stations in that supply life energy to the major organs.

Minor chakras are 1 to 3 inches in diameter. They control and energize the less important parts of the body. Here are the eleven major chakras:

Basic: Located at the base of the spine, it controls, energizes, and strengthens the whole body. The basic chakra is like the root of a tree. If the root is weak, then the tree is weak. Another term for the basic chakra is the “root” chakra.

Sex: Located in the pubic area, it controls the sexual organs and the bladder.

Mengmain:  Located at the back of the navel, it serves as a pumping gas station in the spine. It controls and energizes the kidneys and the adrenal glands.

Navel: Located on the navel, it controls the large and small intestines and the appendix.

Spleen: Located in the middle part of the left bottom rib. The back spleen chakra is right behind the front spleen chakra. The spleen purifies the blood of diseases and germs and destroys worn out blood cells. It is a major entry point for Air Prana.

Solar Plexus: There are front and back solar plexus chakras. The front one is located in the hollow area between the ribs. The back one lies right behind it. This chakra controls the diaphragm, pancreas, liver, stomach, large and small intestines, appendix, lungs and the heart. The solar plexus chakra is the energy clearing house center.

Heart: The front heart chakra is located at the center of the chest and it controls the heart, thymus gland, and the circulatory system. The back heart chakra is at the back of the heart and it controls the lungs.

Throat: Located at the center of the throat, it controls the thyroid glands, parathyroid glands, and the lymphatic system. It also has an effect on the sex chakra.

Anja: Located between the eyebrows, it controls the pituitary glands, the brain, eyes and the nose.

Forehead: Located in the center of the forehead, it controls the pineal gland and the nervous system.

Crown: Located at the crown of the head, it controls the pineal gland, the brain, and the entire body. The crown chakra is one of the major entry points for Prana.
